Did you know I drive part time for Uber?

Okay, well, now you know!

Uber has become my mobile ministry and I’m loving it … for the most part. Much of my material comes while I’m on the road, driving the different personality types from point A to point B. There is something about movement that creates an incubator for my thoughts. It’s like I get filled with all of these words and they mesh together with images that come out as life nuggets we all need to advance forward.

One day, there was this young lady who thought she was pulling a fast one. Instead, she was setting herself, and POWER subscribers worldwide, up to get what we can only drink from an Olivia Pope sized wine glass.

Without sharing her story, let me give you the same truth serum she needed to hear.

Have you ever gone through so much and believed God, prayed daily and saw absolutely no change?

Me too!

Have you ever found yourself so far down the rabbit hole that not only did you see no way out, but you kept trying to figure out how you even got there … but you still believed God, seeing no results?

Me too!

Did you find the truth of a relationship with God through a storm you were in and believed this new found discovery was going to be the answer … so you prayed, but breakthrough still has not come the way you thought they should?

Me too!

This was the plight of the lady in the car. She had been in a precarious situation for 6 years and it took pure devastation to open her eyes to a truth she already knew. At the same time, it revealed her way of escape. She believed God through it all, but still had not found herself on the receiving end of her expected end.

Why not? I too was wondering how this faith filled mother of 3 small children wasn’t crossing over the Jordan and at least putting her baby toe on the promised land!

So, she asked me to stop at the store prior to dropping her at work. I waited outside in the car for almost 10 minutes before I said, “God, you betta get cha’ daughter because she does not know me. I can pray fire from a distance!”

The car went in reverse and I started backing out, but the lady came out the store with the quickness! Skipping through my formal comments, we left and I pulled up to her job, wanting to minister to her a little bit more. We exchanged numbers and she began digging through her purse. There were small junk food items in her bag, which she explained belonged to her daughter. Right then, Holy Spirit let me know, she was in the store stealing and that’s why it took her so long to come out.

So you’re just going to steal and get in my car?

And up …
And out …
came the truth …

But it wasn’t just for her … it was for all of us; all of God’s children need this reminder. Reminders help the promises of God we already know, dish the line and get in front of fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, etc., in order to jolt us out of an erroneous mentality.

Check out James 1:5-8 AMP

5If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].”

Truth Serum #1 … If you keep trying to fix it your way, it will remain broken indefinitely. Keep inventory of your actions.

Truth Serum #2 … Every situation has a lesson to be learned. Instead of trying to break free, seek out the lesson. When you learn it, it is my experience that things typically disseminate on their own.

Truth Serum #3 … There are many ways to handle your battles, but you have to pray for which combination of weapons to use in each situation.

Truth Serum #4 … Until you stop getting in the way, there’s no room for God’s answer to enter your equation.

Truth Serum #5 … You don’t think you are double-minded, but the fact that you have been on a see-saw about what to do in a situation God said to give to Him proves that you ARE double-minded!

#PowerChallenge

Information without action is a waste … Faith without works is dead …

This week, take this and be determined to give it to God once and for all

  1. Do not take actions into your own hands that Abba Father did not tell you to take!
  2. When the urge to take matters into your own hands arises, talk back to it!

“No, I gave that to God.”

“Father you said you would handle that. Thank you for handling x, y and z for me”

“Every spirit of doubt, fear, and distrust, I cast you down, in the name of Jesus”

“I command my conscious and subconscious to line up with the promises of God, which are ye and amen!”
